In 2025, the number of claims decreased by 31.5% compared to 2024, mainly due to the decrease in vehicle thefts. This number stands at 4,559 in 2025, the lowest level recorded since 2016.
The number and frequency of claims for whole vehicle thefts decreased in 2024 after increasing significantly from 2018 to 2022. The frequency of claims in 2025 is at a level comparable to that of 2016.
The average cost of claims for the entire theft of a vehicle was $23,624 in 2025, down 8.2% from 2024.

The number of vehicles insured for theft increased by 16% for the period 2015-2025, from 4.27 million to 4.95 million vehicles.
