Montréal, Lanaudière, Mauricie, Centre du Québec and Laval have the highest theft frequencies
Six regions of Québec have the highest frequencies of entire vehicle theft: Montréal (central and east) with 0.26%, Montréal (west) with 0.18%, Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec with 0.10%, and Laval with 0.12%.
The cost of a theft claim varies significantly from one region to another, between $19,118 (Montréal – west) and $46,186 (Abitibi-Témiscamingue).
